Ingredients
1 C Unsalted butter
1 C Sugar
1 Large egg
1 Tbl Lemon juice
1/4 tsp. Lemon zest
3 C Flour
1.2 oz Freeze-dried strawberries
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Baking powder
Preparation
Blend freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until light. Add egg, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix in dry ingredients and powdered strawberries until just combined.
Roll out dough and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut dough into shapes bake for 10-12 minutes.
Royal Icing: Add 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice while mixing your royal icing.
