Cinnamon Roll Roll-out Sugar Cookies

Yields 12 Cookies


1 C Unsalted butter


1 C Sugar


1 Large egg


1/4 C Cinnamon Bun Paste


1 tsp. Butter vanilla emulsion


1 tsp cinnamon


3 1/4 C Flour


3/4 tsp. salt


1/4 tsp. Baking powder


2 Tbl Sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (to sprinkle on dough)


Cream the butter and sugar. Add egg and paste. Add dry ingredients. Roll out dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture on one side of the rolled-out dough. Place parchment paper over the top and flip the dough. Sprinkle the mixture over the back side of the dough. Refrigerate for 1-2 hrs. Cut out in desired shapes and bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes.


For royal icing: Add cream cheese emulsion while mixing your icing.
